About the Breed

Known as the Gentle Giant and the Apollo of dogs, the Great Dane is courageous and spirited. The Dane is a product of Germany, and was most likely developed through a combination of Mastiff and the Irish Wolfhound.  This great breed was developed to hunt boar more than 500 years ago, but without qualification, Dane owners agree that Danes make ideal house dogs.  They are clean and pleasant to have around, quiet (never “yappie”), and are not usually hyperactive.  Danes crave human companionship, and are happiest when they are with the people they love.

We have owned and bred Great Danes since 1994.  We strive to breed the healthiest and best quality fawn and brindle Great Danes in Virginia.  The Danes in our kennel are from among the best lineage in the United States.  Most of their ancestors have earned at least one champion title.  Most puppies are show quality (with the desired color, markings, size etc…) for those who are interested in showing and have the time to undertake such an activity. Owning a Dane from our kennel is a lifelong commitment. We are here to answer any questions you may have regarding your puppy’s habits, health or obedience to the best of our ability.  We want the puppy to be happy with you, and you to be happy with the puppy.

Baron is the image of regality. He was bred by Rosendane Kennel in Pittsgrove, New Jersey.  With an all-champion lineage, Baron adds substance, conformation and a superb disposition to our breeding program.

Baron is out of Ch. Rosendane’s Legally Blond and sired by Ch. Wolke’s Just Joey.

Baron is also offered at stud to select outside bitches.

Jasmine was bred by Cullinane Kennels of Richland, New Jersey.  Jasmine is an asset to our family of Danes.  Not only is she graceful and beautiful, she is extremely intelligent and well bred. 

Jasmine is out of Cullinane’s Choice is Sophie and was sired by Ch. Sandale Wyne Talk the Talk.  She is protective, loyal and definitely the “ham” of the farm.

Motrosa’s Eve, better known as Pumpkin, shows excellent conformation, movement and temperament.  She is an outgoing and inquisitive member of our family.  Pumpkin is a perfect example of the wonderful quality of puppies produced by Baron and Jasmine.   Pictured right at 7 months of age.

Kala was bred by Kenrill Kennels of Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was chosen based on her superb conformation, winning personality and outstanding bloodlines. 

Kala is out of Kenrill’s Caffe’ Vienetta and was sired by Ch. Nightwinds Justyn Time.  Very loving, she is the best of both pet and breeding stock.  Kala is now “retired” from breeding and enjoys her time lounging on the sofa.
